In my country teenage boys and girls have different social education life. Boys are normally raised to be calm and relaxed about what they are studying whereas girls are treated to be careful and somehow strict about their education. Girls are more active and fussy about their jobs at school while boys are more easygoing. Boys’ cooperation and behaviors in groups are based on quick trust and fun and girls’, in the other hand, have thoughtful jobs and hard- earned trust. Finally, boys in my country are raised to be easy going whereas girls are so fussy my group: Yuheng, John.
1. What are going to study? 2. Why do you want to study that? 3. What is your main goal when you get to college? 4. Are you going to continue your study after you get your associate degree? 5. Which was your best subject in high school?
John is one of my group members. He is going to study Business Administration. He is going to study this major because most of the people in his family studied that. His main goal is to continue his education and have a better job. When he gets his associate degree he is going to continue his education in higher levels. John’s best subject in high school was math. In the other hand, Yuheng is another group mate, who is going to follow his education in Computer Engineering. He wants to study that major because it has so many interesting courses that attract him. Yuheng’s main goal is continuing improving his English . In contrast to John, Yuheng is not going to continue his education after he gets his associate degree. Yuheng’s best subject in high school was English. In a conclusion, it is possible to say that everyone tend to continue their education or even knowledge based on for their own reason. The most important thing is to do all our best to learn and also struggle to chase the goal which sometimes can be so effective in anybody’s future. “Copy from Academic Encounters Book” Throne (1993) found a number of differences in the way boys and girls interact with their same-sex friends. First, girls engage in more cooperative kinds of play, for example, jumping rope or practicing dance steps together. Girls also tend to say “let’s…” or “why we don’t…” to generate this play. Second, girls like to spend time with only one or two best friends. Third when there is conflict among friends, girls talk about the undesirable behavior of playmates behind their backs rather than to their faces. As a result, a conflict between girls can take a long time to be resolved. In contrast, boys engage in competitive rough-and- tumble play and physical fighting. Boys also like to appear tough by making verbal threats (for example, “I’m going to punch you”). These kinds of threats are sometimes made in anger they are also made in spirit of play. Boys tend more to hang around with a larger group of casual friends. Finally Boys, are more direct and confrontational, so their conflicts are often over quite quickly.
“My Friend”
Hello my dear friend, How are you? It has not been a long time since we contacted each other; however I am going to write you something new. The city which I am living is surrounded by water, but it is rare to have these natural disasters. However, this year our city and also some of the other neighboring cities and states like New Jersey, Connecticut, and some more, got a mammoth hurricane which was called Sandy. I have to say that there were powerful and also wild winds and rain. Even though it formed in a faraway ocean, it runs (crawls) to its nearest areas. Although the properties around my neighborhood don’t have too many problems, Sandy’s influences in other parts of the cities in properties, trees and people who effected were really upsetting when I saw them on the media. Some of the subway stations flooded in water till the entrances, many trees fell down or broke. People had to stay in lines for hours to get gas because their power stopped working. During the days everything was affected, even the stock market. This was the first time it had closed in the last 100 years. Almost all of the buses and train lines stopped working for 5 days, while everyone had to be at their job or work. It was so devastating and also difficult for the people who had these troubles. The rescuers and other crews are still working and trying to help the people and also the other damaged matter. The reaction of helping people is really adorable for me. It is not a long time that is passed from the Sandy hurricane, but most of the things, step by step, are getting back to the normal time. Wish to see you soon.
